Nicole Tomassi:

Welcome to Westchester words, education, ed tech, and publishing. I'm Nicole Tomassi, the marketing and conference manager for Westchester Publishing Services and Westchester Education Services. When the Westchester Words podcast was launched in the spring of 21, I wasn't sure how it was going to be received, but apparently, I had no reason to be worried because the podcast immediately found a receptive audience and guests who were both interesting as well as interested in coming on to discuss their areas of expertise within publishing, education, ed tech or a combination of these three areas. For those of you who have been along for the entire ride so far, I want to thank you for the support that you've shown us from the outset. And to those of you who are just finding your way to Westchester Words, I want to wish you a warm welcome and say that we're very happy to have your ears. I've been planning season two of Westchester words for a while, and I'm really excited to begin sharing episodes with all of you in just a few weeks from now. During season two of Westchester words, we'll be having discussions about topics that are impacting the publishing industry, such as diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring accessibility of digital content, and how to leverage digital platforms in order to increase visibility for your titles. We'll also be discussing diversity, equity and inclusion from a few additional perspectives within education publishing and ed tech, as well as social and emotional learning education publishing outside of the U S career and technical education, and much more as the publishing education and ed tech industries continue to adapt and respond to what's happening in the world. Your thoughts about the topics that you want to hear on Westchester words are always welcomed. You can email us at westchesterwords@westchesteredsvcs.com. And if you'd like to talk with us about the ways that we can support your editorial production, digital conversion or content development projects, visit the contact us page of our websites, Westchester publishing services.com or Westchester education services.com and we'll schedule a convenient conversation. All of the episodes from the first season of Westchester words remain available to listen to you on your favorite streaming platform or by visiting our websites where you'll also find additional content for some of the episodes that has been shared by some of our guests. I also want to invite you to the webinar that we will be co-hosting with Publishers Weekly on Tuesday, October 5th, Publishing industry supply chain challenges and opportunities. Publisher's weekly Vice president and editorial director. Jim Milliot will be leading a discussion with industry thought leaders, including Tyrrell Mahoney of Chronicle books, Bill Smith, from the MIT Press, Kelly Gallagher of Ingram content services, and Matt Baehr from the book manufacturers Institute. They will be talking about the continuing impacts of the supply chain challenges and how their businesses are adapting and evolving in order to meet customers needs. You can register for this informative hour of conversation and submit your questions for the panelists by visiting our website Westchester Publishing Services.com. I want to thank you again for listening to Westchester words, and I hope that you'll enjoy the episodes that we're going to be bringing you in season two. In the meantime, stay safe, be well and stay tuned.
